Equipment schedule
Record module make, model, wattage, quantity and technology; inverter make, model, AC rating, MPPTs and warranty; cable makes and sizes; ACDB/DCDB or LT-panel scope; connectors, earthing, lightning protection and monitoring.
Roof and structure
Check shadow-free layout, edge and drainage offsets, safe access, wind design, material grade, coating, fasteners, waterproofing responsibility and the method used on RCC or sheet roofs. For large roofs, ask how structural adequacy was assessed.
Execution deliverables
Clarify cable trays or DWC routing, identification, UV-resistant ties, earthing strips on insulators, walkways, lifelines, guardrails, cleaning-water routes and roof-sheet repair or replacement. These are visible signs of maintainability, not cosmetic extras.
Commercial and service scope
Confirm taxes, freight, civil work, metering, utility liaison, CEIG where applicable, insurance, commissioning tests, monitoring access, training, response time and exclusions. Compare warranties with the process for claiming them.
One-page decision rule
Reject any comparison that cannot make scope, generation assumptions, payment milestones and responsibilities comparable. The lowest price is meaningful only after the asset being bought is the same.
