Up to ₹93,000 for eligible SC/ST households

Central subsidy and State Financial Assistance (SFA)
Central household CFA is ₹30,000 for 1 kW, ₹60,000 for 2 kW and ₹78,000 for 3 kW and above. West Bengal Order No. 1406-POW-32/3/2026, dated 3 September 2026, provides eligible SC/ST domestic beneficiaries an additional ₹5,000 for 1 kW, ₹10,000 for 2 kW and ₹15,000 for 3 kW and above, with pro-rata support for intermediate capacity. Combined central and state assistance can therefore reach ₹93,000 at 3 kW. This is category-specific support, not a universal state top-up. WBSEDCL is the nodal agency for state subsidy, including CESC and IPCL licensed areas; release follows verification and DBT to the beneficiary’s verified bank account.
Start with the electricity supplier
Check whether your connection is with WBSEDCL, CESC, DPL, DVC or another applicable supplier. Confirm residential category and the relevant rooftop solar and metering procedure against your actual electricity bill.
Local planning considerations
For Purulia and surrounding areas, a usable roof, reliable installation access and long-term cleaning support matter as much as the panel specification. Check structures for wind exposure and verify the local supplier’s commissioning requirements.
What your proposal should include
- Plant capacity and generation assumptions based on your bill and roof survey.
- A transparent gross price and separate central subsidy, verified state assistance and financing cash flows.
- Module and inverter specifications, DCR compliance for subsidy, structure design, earthing and electrical protection.
- Net-metering responsibilities, inspection steps, warranties, monitoring and maintenance scope.
Prepare for your first consultation
